"It's the end of an era!" Where are my fans of the tv show "Friends" at? If you aren't a fan, it's okay. I won't hold it against you! This quote is the first thing that came to mind as we said our final goodbyes and walked out of the Hill Class one last time. Nolan started this program at Ole Miss University in June of 2017 as a little three year old boy who couldn't talk, didn't play well with others, and absolutely hated transitions. On April 30, 2019 he SAID "bye" to his friends, held my hand, and walked out of the door. It has been a long road with autism so far but the students and directors at Hill Class have forever changed our lives. They have put in countless hours with Nolan working on his speech, sharing, playing appropriately, transitions, and so many more things. They have gone out of their way to teach us as a family how to help Nolan and teach him at home. they were patient, compassionate, and so eager to help. People often gasp when they find out we drove Nolan an hour to Oxford, MS for this program each day for two years. But let me tell you it is worth every single mile. We will miss the people at Ole Miss and will always consider them close to our heart because of the love and direction they have shown us. We feel so blessed to have been apart of a program like this to help children with speech delays and other diagnoses.
